In order to create an implied room division, we designed a double-sided shelving system. The custom unit is fashioned out of aluminum sheet that wraps around wood structural inserts. Oversized tabs and flaps create attachment details and express seams. Finished with a rich ochre color, the shelves become an anchoring object in the space.
