Current Interests was approached by an artist to design a studio on the other end of a lot characterized by its immense depth, gentle slope, and wild foliage. To provide maximum wall space and a column free ground we focused on developing an oversized, sawtooth roof that sits on the walls like a hat. Ribbon windows are oriented to take advantage of northern light, and a large entry porch creates a spatial connection between the existing house and the new building.
